I started design 6 years ago and have come a long way since. I migrated from Guyana to Canada with the dream of learning a craft I love and respect. I graduated from the Art Institute of Toronto (sadly soon to be closed) in 2007. I consider myself lucky to find a career that I love, that allows me to meet new people and constantly challenge me to better myself as a designer.
I'm Damian Madray, the creative director at Depthskins Design Studio. My main role is of course direction, but I work on web designs, branding and internet marketing campaigns. I don't limit myself to one field because as long it requires creativity, it applies to my better nature.
All this time in design I've learned that there's always room for improvement and I'm constantly growing as a designer. I'm currently involved in community related projects that I hope through it will allow me to give back in some small way. And I'm always open to fun projects.
I recently joined the site and it doesn't feel like there is much going on aside from a few art / design submissions and a handful of critiques each day. I'm trying to pro-actively change that by being more active in the discussion area. However it's hard to hold a conversation by yourself. :/
