Waterpebble is Here to Make You Water Conscious

When I wake up and zombie-walk to the shower, all I want to do is stand under a steady stream of steaming hot water for as long as I damn well please. Unfortunately, if you know anything about our planet's water crisis, it becomes a little harder to indulge. Lucky for us, there's a handy little shower bug that does all the eco-friendly monitoring for us. Like an annoying shower hall monitor.

Designed by Paul Priestman, the Waterpebble is meant to measure the amount of water that goes down the drain. What's more, it stores that information and compares your water consumption from shower-to-shower. The designer says:
There is a huge imperative to use less water but it’s a difficult thing to quantify. I wanted to design something that takes the hard work out of going green and that helps people change their behavior so that eventually they are doing it automatically. The Waterpebble has a mind of its own so that it literally does all the hard work and the user is gently persuaded to use less water.
